WASHINGTON (AP) — More than 14% of American homeowners with a mortgage were either behind on their payments or in foreclosure at the end of September, a record-high for the ninth straight quarter and a problem that could threaten the U.S. economic recovery.

Home prices got too high. There is no quick and easy fix from that, regardless of who is in the White House. Guess its up to the people

All that this means is that the next big crisis will be the bailout of the FHA. . For the past 2 years the majority of new home loans have been done through the FHA. With traditional lenders tightening their programs so much, the FHA has picked up the slack. All of these loans are government guaranteed. What a mess this will be.
